Last Sunday, my parents and I embarked on an unforgettable journey to Beijing. The weather was remarkably sunny, casting a golden glow over the vast expanse of China's capital. In the morning, we boarded a shiny, air-conditioned bus heading towards Badaling, the renowned section of the Great Wall. As we ascended the winding road, the majestic Great Wall seemed to stretch endlessly before us, a testament to the ancient wisdom and indomitable spirit of the Chinese people.
At 1:30 pm, we paused for lunch, our stomachs growling in anticipation of the culinary delights that awaited us. After satisfying our appetites, we continued our journey to the supermarket, where we stocked up on snacks and drinks for the trip back home.
The evening brought with it a sense of melancholy as we set off for the return journey. The city lights twinkling in the distance seemed to whisper stories of the places we had just explored. As we drove back, I reflected on the memories we had created and the new destinations we had added to our travel bucket list, such as Guilin, Xi'an, and more.
This trip to Beijing was not just a journey across miles of land and time, but a passage into the heart of China's rich history and culture. It was an experience that will forever hold a special place in my memory.
