The World Elite, commonly known as WE战队, was established in 1999. The organization was named FRIEND’s战队, and in 22, Yolin Y Club, a club under the name Yolin Y Club, was acquired by the company技嘉gigabyte and i-rock, which later became the official sponsorship partner of WE战队. The name was subsequently changed to World Elite, with the abbreviation WE战队. The team, which was previously known as Yolin Y Club, is now part of Team Alpha, a division of技嘉gigabyte. World Elite is one of the largest and most professional-level electronic sports clubs in the world, based in Shenzhen. The club was founded by a group of top Chinese athletes who are known for their skills in competitive programming. World Elite is a member of the largest and most influential global electronic sports club, Replays Net, and has established itself as a key focus for young fans of competitive programming. The team boasts a strong presence in the global competitive programming scene, with notable members like WE.Sky and WE.PJ. As of now, World Elite has achieved two consecutive World championships in the World Computer Olympiad, making it a highly sought-after club for young enthusiasts in the competitive programming community.
