Dream Journey
In today's world, the concept of "dream" is deeply ingrained in our minds. We are all familiar with the "Chinese dream," which unites us Chinese in our pursuit of progress. But what about our personal dreams?
As a senior student, I faced a pivotal choice in selecting a subject. After careful consideration, I opted for East China Normal University as my ideal university. The reasons for my choice are many. Firstly, many of our teachers at school are alumni of that institution and I find their teaching excellence remarkable. Secondly, if I were to be accepted, it would mean a tuition-free ride, thereby easing the financial burden on my parents.
Then began my dream journey. With a steadfast determination, I set out a detailed plan to compensate for the knowledge I had missed or abandoned before. No matter how alluring entertainment might be, I firmly resisted the urge to indulge in it. I believed that only in this way could I realize my dream, and it was this dream that made every day of my life more meaningful.
With consistent effort, I made remarkable progress. The outcome of the college entrance examination was satisfactory, albeit not as expected. Nonetheless, I was enrolled into ECUST, which left me deeply disappointed. I repeatedly asked myself, "What have I achieved after such hard work?" I was lost in a maze of confusion.
It was not until I began my college life at ECUST that I realized the essence of my journey lay not in my current location but in the direction I was heading towards.
I will never abandon my dream. I will persist in working hard and embrace a splendid future with hope and determination!
